Welcome to Mandarin Athletic Association Baseball
Welcome to MAA Little League
Baseball. MAA is an official Babe Ruth /
Cal Ripken Little League Baseball Association
located in Jacksonville's Southside.

MAA Baseball is one of
Jacksonville's oldest and most respected
little league baseball organizations. Our
little league baseball programs, from age
5 to age 12 are organized and operated at
Burnett Park in Mandarin.
If you are interested
in your child participating in our baseball
programs, you can Register
Here online with your major credit /
debit card, or you may register in person
at Burnett Park and ask any questions about
our program while your there. Check the
Registration
Section of our site for dates and times
for on-site registrations (they change from
season to season).
For parents, our baseball programs
are great. All of the regular season games
and practices are held at Burnett Park.
You will not need to travel all over town
to play or practice. MAA's Burnett park
is a well equipped park with sidewalks,
bleachers and concessions during the regular
season. And we work very hard to make sure
that you and your children are sure to have
an enjoyable and exciting experience.
MAA Baseball Seasons
MAA offers two baseball seasons
each calendar year; Spring Ball and Fall
Ball. Spring Ball is the larger of the two
seasons primarily because this season does
not compete with our football season and
because the regular season is followed by
the All star Season . Registration
for Spring Ball is generally held over
a 3 week period in January and your child's
age on April 30th of that year will be used
to determine what bracket your child will
play in. The season takes place during February,
March and April.
Fall
Ball Registration takes place over a
3 week period in August, with practices
and games taking place during the months
of September, October and November. Your
child's age on April 30th will again be
used to determine what bracket they will
play in.
Whether you are just starting
to consider youth athletics or are a veteran
returning parent, thank you for your interest
in Mandarin Athletic Association. We are
truly committed to having a positive impact
on you and your child.
About our Little League Baseball
Program
For over 25 years MAA has refined
its baseball programs to offer instructional
T-Ball for children as young as 5 years
old, all the way up to a 16 to 18 year old
age bracket, (defined by Babe Ruth / Cal
Ripkin).
Each year, through a spring
and fall season, we organize close to 1000
young athlete's into teams in four age brackets.
From beginners to seasoned young ball players,
the age brackets are as follows:
T-Ball T-Ball
is instructional baseball for the little
one's, ages 5 - 7 years old. All aspects
of the field and the rules are adjusted
to allow your child to develop the skills
and fundamentals of baseball in an instructional
way that they will thoroughly enjoy.
Pitching Machine
Pitching Machine is the
next level of instructional baseball for
8 year olds. Your child is moved to to rules
closer to regular baseball rules, with a
few exceptions to keep things fun. A pitching
machine is used to transition your child
from soft toss T-Ball pitching to real pitching.
9 & 10 Year Old Kid
Pitch This level
is your child's first real taste of regular
baseball where 9 and 10 year olds compete.
By now your child has been prepared to safely
use the skills they have developed to step
up to the plate and bat a real pitch, run
and steal bases. Offensive and defensive
play further develops your child's baseball
skills.
11 & 12 Year Old
Kid Pitch The top
level of competitive baseball at MAA. Your
young athlete will compete at an impressive
level of play with few errors and exciting
games.
Our T-Ball, Machine Pitch,
9 & 10, and 11 & 12 Year Old programs
are all based at our Burnett Park, near
the intersection of I-295 and San Jose.
13 - 15 & 16 - 18
Year Olds
Our 13-18 Year Old programs
are based at or Greenland Park near the
Avenues Mall at the intersection of Greenland
Road and Philips Hwy.
